CALGARY – The homicide unit is investigating the death of a man found unconscious in a downtown park on Sunday.
Officers were called to the area of 8th Street and 7th Avenue S.W. just before 11 p.m.

They found a man in his 30’s in medical distress. He was rushed to hospital where he later died.
Police are calling the death suspicious.
One person was taken into custody for questioning but has since been released.
An autopsy is expected to take place on Monday to determine the cause of death.
Anyone who was in the area at the time or who may have information is asked to call Calgary police or Crime Stoppers.
