EDMONTON – A 50-year-old motorcyclist suffered serious injuries during a collision Sunday night in north Edmonton.
The collision between the Can-Am Spyder, a three-wheeled motorcycle, and a Ford F-150 truck happened on Castle Downs Road at 139 Ave., around 5:50 p.m.
Edmonton Police say it appears the truck heading north on Castle Downs Road allegedly attempted to turn left onto 139 Ave., when it hit the southbound motorcycle.
The 50-year-old man driving the motorcycle suffered serious injuries, and was taken to hospital. The 52-year-old man driving the F-150 wasn’t injured.
Police continue to investigate, but say speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors.
It’s not yet known if charges will be laid against the driver of the truck.
