A man is dead and the city’s homicide unit has been called in after what is being deemed a suspicious fire at a downtown apartment complex.
Around 5:30 Saturday morning, fire crews were called to holiday towers on Hargrave Street for reports of a fire.
A man was rushed to hospital in critical condition. He has since died and the homicide unit is involved.
Police are releasing few details in this case – including the victim’s name. no arrests have been made.
The fire caused extensive smoke damage to the apartment estimated at 10 thousand dollars.
