EDMONTON – RCMP say a woman is dead following a head-on collision northeast of Edmonton Friday.
Strathcona County RCMP responded around 10:30 a.m. to a two-vehicle collision just outside of Fort Saskatchewan, on Highway 15 east of Range Road 213.
Police say the woman, whose name and age have not been released, was killed in the collision.
The other driver, a man, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing, but RCMP are searching for the driver of a blue Ford Focus who reportedly drove west past the collision scene. Officers believe the motorist may have witnessed the collision and may be able to help RCMP with their investigation.
