CALGARY- A man has been taken into custody, after showing up at a rally in support of Israel with a weapon.
On Wednesday evening, hundreds of people gathered at the Calgary Jewish Centre to show support for their homeland, over its conflict with Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

The rally was planned just days after a similar one got out of hand in downtown Calgary, after an opposing group showed up.
Police were at the Jewish Centre as people came into the building, and stopped a man at the entrance after he was observed to have a weapon on him.
It turns out he was carrying an air gun, and was taken into custody. He’s expected to be charged with having a weapon dangerous to the public.
