VANCOUVER — An elderly pedestrian is in serious condition after being hit by a vehicle today in Abbotsford.
At around 11:00 a.m. the woman was struck, while traversing a marked crosswalk at the intersection of Townline Road and Blueridge Drive.
A 21-year-old driver was attempting to make a left turn when he hit her. According to authorities, he stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police.
Abbotsford Fire Rescue and BC Ambulance Services responded, and the woman was transported to hospital with “very serious injuries” by air ambulance.
