Wanted man spits on Prince Albert police officer during arrest

Prince Albert police had their hands full dealing with an uncooperative suspect around midnight on Saturday.

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. – Prince Albert police had their hands full dealing with an uncooperative suspect around midnight on Saturday.

At 12:42 a.m., patrol officers were taking a 25-year-old man into custody who had outstanding warrants.

The man was pulling away from police and screaming.

While being escorted into a police vehicle, the suspect spit on one of the officers.

Police say there were no injuries.

The 25-year-old man is now facing an additional charge of assaulting a police officer.

He is scheduled to appear in provincial court on Monday.
