UPDATE: Boil water advisory in Hope lifted
UPDATE: The boil water advisory has been lifted in Hope. Further details will be posted to: www.hope.ca
The District of Hope has been under a boil water advisory since Saturday.
Officials say routine testing revealed the town’s water is contaminated with bacteria.
Residents are being advised to boil water for at least 2 to 3 minutes before using it for drinking, brushing teeth or washing dishes.
The district says the advisory remains in effect for the immediate future.
Another sample will be taken today, and the results are not expected for another 2-3 business days.
The notice does not affect Silver Creek, Lake of the Woods or the Kawkawa Lake area.
