Calling all community leaders to help end homelessness! Shelter Nova Scotia is looking for motivated individuals to Sleep-Out for change. We’ll chat with the organizers about this unique fundraiser that shines a light on the issue of homelessness at 6:45am.

At 7:15 we’ll meet a Halifax man who is passionate about men’s bow ties. He love them so much that he’ll be starring in a new documentary that will focus on his attempt to beat the World Records for bow-tie tying whilst riding a bicycle to work – in North End Halifax.

Thanks to the new Halifax Central Library, all Halifax Public Libraries are moving into a new era where technology is used even more than books to engage the community.  At 7:45 we’ll meet Kelli WooShue, a librarian who will showcase some exciting emerging technology – including a 3-D printer and the MaKey MaKey.

Wearing proper sunglasses can help protect your eyes from the short and long term effects of damaging UV rays.   Dr. Gaétan Lang of Lang Optometry and Eyewear will drop by at 8:45 to put the fun in functional summer eye-wear.
