TORONTO — Kevin McEnroe, the eldest son of actress Tatum O’Neal and tennis great John McEnroe, was arrested Tuesday night in New York City for allegedly buying drugs.

According to the New York Post, officers stopped McEnroe, 28, around 11:30 p.m. and allegedly found six bags of cocaine, 10 OxyContin tablets and 20 morphine pills.

McEnroe was released without bail on Wednesday after being charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

A second man was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.

McEnroe’s Oscar-winning mother was arrested in New York City in 2008 after trying to buy crack cocaine. She pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and ordered to attend a drug treatment program.

Both Griffin O’Neal and Redmond O’Neal, the sons of actor Ryan O’Neal (and brothers of Tatum) have been arrested on drug charges.
