Regina Police investigating second break and enter on Athol Street

File / Global News

Regina Police are stepping up patrols in the North Central area after two residential break and enter cases in the neighbourhood over the last week.

The latest one happened Tuesday night just before 11 p.m. in the 1100 block of Athol Street.

A man pounded on a door, and forced his way into the house of a 73 year old woman. He threatened her with a knife and demanded cash.

The woman wasn’t injured.

The suspect fled the scene. He’s described as 5 feet 10 inches tall, average build with dark brown eyes. He was wearing light coloured shorts and a tank top. He has tattoos on both arms.

This is the second crime of this nature in that area in less than a week. A very similar crime happened just one block away on July 9th.
