NAPANEE, Ont. – Provincial police say two people are dead after a collision on Highway 401 near Napanee that has closed the highway’s eastbound lanes.
The collision, which happened at about 1:30 a.m., involved two tractor-trailers and one passenger vehicle.
Police say both the driver and passenger in the vehicle were killed.
The highway’s eastbound lanes have been closed at the scene of the collision and drivers are being asked to follow marked emergency detour routes.
There’s no immediate word on how long the closure will last.
