TORONTO – The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning the public that some bottles of Enfamil A+ Ready-to-Feed Infant Formula have been found with the tamper-proof seal broken and blue tape applied in its place.

The products were found to contain water and some formula residue instead of infant formula.

The tampered bottles were found in Walmart stores in Brampton and Mississauga, Ont. and have since been removed from shelves in several Halton and Peel Region locations.

So far, Walmart officials say no additional bottles were found to be altered.

The CFIA is reminding people to check the containers prior to use and to make sure the security seal is intact.
