VANCOUVER — North Shore Rescue are calling off a search for a missing hiker.
They were scouring the mountain today for a 22-year-old from Virginia.
He left his name and phone number on a piece of paper at the bottom of the mountain, as per hiking customs, but didn’t come to collect it. Authorities tried calling the cell phone number, but couldn’t reach him.
However, they were able to get in touch with his mother, who said the man texted her that he was done the hike last night.
They are still looking for information on the man, and ask anyone that sees him to call 911.
