Halifax –
Nova Scotia RCMP are investigating a serious motor vehicle collision in Annapolis County.
Shortly before 12:30 Saturday morning, Middleton RCMP received a complaint of a motor vehicle collision in the 900–block of Highway 10 in Springfield, Annapolis County.
Police say their preliminary investigation revealed that a Hyundai Sedan was travelling south on Highway 10 when the lone driver lost control and crashed in the ditch.
Members of the New Germany and Springfield Fire Departments had to extract the driver.
He was then transported to the South Shore Regional Hospital, and later airlifted to the QEII Hospital by EHS Life Flight.
The 18-year-old Halifax man remains in hospital with serious injuries.
An RCMP collision analyst has been called in to assist and the cause of the collision remains under investigation with the Middleton RCMP.
