Saskatchewan musicians set to host flood relief concerts

REGINA – Saskatchewan music artists are coming together to put on flood relief concerts.

Shows are being held in Yorkton, Saskatoon and Regina.

The goal is to raise $50,000 and PotashCorp has agreed to match that amount.

The concert at Casino Regina on July 23 will feature about ten artists, including Jay Semko and Codie Prevost.

“Music is such a community thing. Whether our community is triumphing or if we’re struggling, music is there. People turn to music as a resource for things,” said Rebecca Windjack of SaskMusic.

Tickets are $20 and all proceeds will go to flood relief.
