UPDATE: Cause of suspicious death in downtown Edmonton remains a mystery

Edmonton Police are investigating a suspicious death, after a man's body was found at this apartment building at 105 Street and 99 Avenue.

EDMONTON – Homicide detectives continue to investigate the suspicious death of a man in his 40s, who was found dead in a downtown apartment Tuesday evening.

His body was discovered around 7 p.m., when officers were called to the home in the area of 105 Street and 99 Avenue.

Police say the results of an autopsy performed on Wednesday were inconclusive. Investigators will now have to await the results of toxicology tests.

The man’s identity is not being released at this time since his family, who resides outside Alberta, has not yet been contacted.
