MONTREAL – A high-speed chase between police and three speeding motorcyclists ended in the borough of St-Laurent with the arrest of a man in his twenties.

The pursuit started just after 3 a.m. on Thursday morning, when Quebec provincial police officer noticed the speedsters on Highway 40 East at Stinson Road.

After refusing to stop and pull over when the officer sounded his siren, the trio split up and the officer followed one driver heading south along Highway 25 into Anjou.

It was at this point that the Montreal police joined in the chase, which came to a sudden end when the motorcyclist crashed into the door of a police car at Louis Riel Park.
