On Tuesday, July 1, 2014, Global News’ Leslie Roberts and Liza Fromer hosted Mississauga Celebration Square’s Canada Day celebration. Global News has been proud to support this event for the past five years. A Global tent was onsite with family activities to celebrate Canada’s 147th birthday. There was a Canada Day themed “photo booth,” as well as a colouring station for kids.

Despite earlier forecasts of heavy rain, the sun persisted and the event was very successful, bringing in more than 100,000 people! Guests enjoyed fireworks, entertainment and great food well into the evening.
