The summer edition of Optimyz Health and Fitness magazine is on the stands now.  At 6:45 editor Jenna Conter will be by to talk about making the most of summer.  How to get active, eat better and stay happy this summer – and carry that good stuff with you into the colder months.

At 7:15 Fred Morley, VP of Greater Halifax Partnership will stop by to tell us about the Pledge that is enriching Halifax socially and economically! Have you taken the pledge?

Switzerland will be featured prominently in this year’ s Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo so we figured why not feature Switzerland on The Morning News! At 7:45 we’ll be joined by Mr. Beat Kaser, Consul General of Switzerland in Montreal. Mr. Kasar will be attending the Tattoo performance on Wednesday evening.

Doctor Howard Conter will be by at 8:15 to talk about how to avoid heat-related illness like heat stroke  and also how to recognize and treat the signs and symptoms.

At 8:45 we check in with the Solar City program offered through the city of Halifax.   A cool new interactive map helps residents see at a glance if their home might benefit from a solar panel upgrade.
