UPDATE: Elderly Vancouver man with dementia found safe

Camille Jacques Allard, 77, has dementia and has been missing since June 25, 2014.

UPDATE: Police have safely located 77-year-old Camille Allard, who went missing on June 25.

Vancouver Police are asking for the public’s help in finding an elderly man with dementia missing since Wednesday night.

Seventy-seven year old Camille Jacques Allard was last seen at approximately 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday at his home near East 5th and Fraser Street.

Allard walks with a severe limp and is described as Caucasian, 5’4” tall, 130 lbs with short grey hair. He was last seen wearing a yellow sweater with “Grandpa Picasso” on the front, jeans, dark runners and a dark baseball cap.

Area searches by police around his home and places he likes to frequent, as well as checks of local hospitals, transit and other police agencies have failed to turn up any signs of the missing man.

If anyone sees Camille Jacques Allard, they are asked to call 9-1-1 immediately, ask for police and ambulance and wait until officers arrive.
