LAVAL – A man in his 50s was stabbed and beaten with a baseball bat following an argument between two men in Laval late Friday night.
The incident took place in a home on Perron boulevard near 74th avenue in Chomedey around 9 p.m.
According to Laval police, the 28-year-old suspect went to the kitchen, got a knife and stabbed the victim in the back after the argument.
He also hit the victim on the head with a bat before running off.
Neighbours called 911 after the victim emerged from the apartment bloodied and asking for help.
The man was taken to hospital and police do not fear for his life.
The suspect’s parents called police after seeing him with obvious signs of a fight.
Police have brought the man to the station for questioning.
