WATCH: Rain damages cherry crop

OLIVER — Early in the season, it appeared South Okanagan cherry growers might enjoy a bumper crop.

But then a powerful hail storm hit some orchards in the Oliver area.

And once again, growers don’t seem to be catching a break.

Just as picking is underway, heavy rain in the last 24 hours, has caused many cherries to spilt.
