TORONTO — Actors Andy Mientus and Michael Arden announced Monday they are engaged.
The couple shared the happy news with an Instagram that was captioned with a Shakespeare quote: “Come, woo me, woo me, for now I am in a holiday humour and like enough to consent. #engaged #andyandmichael.”
Mientus, 27, and Arden, 31, were engaged while on holiday in Bath, England.
“Thanks for all the love today,” Mientus tweeted. “We are drinking pink champagne in the English countryside and feeling very very happy.”
Tweeted Arden: “My heart is indeed full of love. From a beautiful man and all around.”
Mientus, best known for playing Kyle Bishop on the short-lived TV series Smash, is currently in the Broadway production of Les Misérables.
Arden, who appears on Anger Management, has a number of Broadway credits to his name, including Big River and A Tale of Two Cities. He had a role in the 2011 made-in-Montreal movie Source Code.
