UPDATE: RCMP release composite sketch of man who allegedly exposed himself to two Sherwood Park girls
EDMONTON – Strathcona County RCMP are asking for the public’s help to identify a man who allegedly exposed himself to two young girls at the Pine Street Elementary School playground in Sherwood Park.
RCMP believe the suspect approached the girls, aged five and eight, on Sunday around 2:45 p.m as they were playing in the sand. He reportedly sat down and began talking to them, before exposing his genitals.
The girls left the area and were not touched or physically harmed in any way, according to RCMP.
Despite searching the area, RCMP were not able to find the suspect who is described as:
• a Caucasian male,
• approximately 20-30 years old,
• with short shaved hair,
• short facial hair/beard,
• wearing black and green shorts,
• a grey t-shirt, and
• a black baseball cap with a black design, possibly a “B” on it
On June 13, there was a similar incident at Brentwood Elementary and also at the Village Market Shopping Center on June 2.
However, RCMP do not believe this suspect was involved in those cases.
They are notifying all area schools and school district offices as a precaution. Police will also be making extra patrols in playgrounds and school areas.
