WATCH: Central Okanagan teachers fuming at Christy

KELOWNA — Some teachers were on the verge of tears as they left a study session at the Kelowna Community Theatre Monday morning.

About 1,000 teachers came out to listen to what transpired over the weekend in negotiations with the province.

But what they heard took place was far from encouraging.

Teachers were told the Province was absent from the table until 5 p.m. Sunday.

Their reaction was emotional, many telling Global News they feel insulted by Christy Clark’s actions.

A rally is taking place this hour at the West Kelowna offices of Clark.

The teachers officially launch full-scale strike action Tuesday.
