GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A 53-year-old accountant is being held in a Florida jail on charges of human trafficking after authorities say he kept three women trapped in virtual slavery for months, prostituting them and videotaping sex acts to put online.

The Gainesville Sun reports that Timothy Deegan is being held on a $300,000 bond. It’s unclear whether he has an attorney.

Records show Deegan is accused of keeping the women trapped and terrified as he increasingly took control of their lives. He is said to have set up traps and made weapons to threaten the women and prevent them from leaving. He’s also accused of giving them drugs in exchange for sex and for keeping his house clean.

The records say the women met Deegan in 2013 through a website where they booked clients as sex workers.
