Thunderstorms and heavy rain poured down on Vancouver Sunday around noon.
The heavy rain was unexpected and caught residents off guard.
Heavy flooding is being reported on Grandview Hwy; Clark Dr. between East 1st Ave. and Charles; and 41st and Knight.
Vancouver Fire has responded to numerous calls about flooded basements.
The thunderstorm risk continues, according to Global News weather anchor Sonia Beeksma.
