Edmonton man killed in rollover

EDMONTON – A young Edmonton man has been killed in a rollover.

It happened Saturday shortly before 7 a.m. on Highway 13, just west of the town of Daysland.

A 2007 Chrysler Sebring was travelling east when the driver lost control and went into the ditch. The car ended up hitting an approach and rolled over onto its roof.

RCMP from Killam, along with Flagstaff County Fire and EMS crews, arrived to find the 20-year-old driver trapped in the upside down car.

He was flown via STARS air ambulance to the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, where he died later in the day.

The man’s name has not been released as police are still in the process of notifying family.

Daysland is about 130 kilometres southeast of Edmonton.
