House fire in Saskatoon’s Erindale neighbourhood

SASKATOON – Saskatoon firefighters were called to extinguish a rooftop blaze around midnight on Sunday in the city’s Erindale neighbourhood.

Around 12:20 a.m., a 911 caller reported a fire on the roof of a house at219 Cowley Road.

Firefighters were quickly on scene and started an aggressive exterior attack to put out the flames and protect the neighbouringhomes.

Crews did an interior search of the building to confirm that there was no one inside.

The fire was under control in around 50 minutes.

The home suffered extensive damage estimated at $600,000.

No injuries were reported and the cause is unknown.
