WINNIPEG- Fire officials are trying to determine what caused a garage to go up in flames Friday evening in the city’s Tuxedo neighborhood.
Crews rushed to the home on West Taylor Boulevard just after 6p.m. Friday, where they found a car and the attached garage of a home fully involved in flames.
Luckily firefighters were able to contain the fire to the garage and the home only suffered minor smoke damage.
There was one person home at the time of the fire, he was able to escape without injury.
There is no word yet on what caused the fire. Officials estimate that about 50 to 75-thousand dollars in damage was caused in the garage.
