Police fear there may be more explosives in the house.

The explosion was reported as shots fired Thursday afternoon.

RCMP found evidence and debris of what appears to be a pipe bomb along the property fence.

An adult male has been arrested and remains in police custody.

The bomb is believed to have detonated unintentionally, possible due to the warm weather.

Explosive material penetrated the house, breaking a main floor window.

A basement suite resident in the house was not injured and has been evacuated, as have the residents of the adjacent home.
