REGINA – A former Regina businesswoman has been charged with defrauding investors.
The RCMP interviewed more than 30 people and examined thousands of bank and financial documents related to money raised from investors in Saskatchewan, Alberta and B.C. between January 2007 and October 2009.
After that, a Cease Trade Order was issued by Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan.
Alena Pastuch, 48, has been charged with fraud and theft over $5,000.
She makes her first court appearance Thursday morning in Regina.
