Police investigate report of body in Red River in south Winnipeg

WINNIPEG – Police officers were in a river front yard in Fort Garry Wednesday morning after someone reported seeing a body.

Officers responded to the call in the 700 block of South Drive in Wildwood at 9:45 a.m.

The caller reported seeing a body in the Red River.

A spokesman for the police service said it wasn’t clear yet whether homicide investigators would be involved in the case.
