CALGARY- Storied actor William Shatner will be beaming into Calgary, just in time for the Calgary Stampede.
On Tuesday, officials announced that the Star Trek actor will be this year’s parade marshal. He will be joined by Olympian speed skaters Gilmore Junio and Denny Morrison, who are serving as honorary parade marshals.

The big news was announced via a YouTube video.
Previous parade marshals have included Cmdr. Chris Hadfield, TV personality Mike Holmes, Rick Hansen and country singer Ian Tyson.
The 2014 Calgary Stampede will happen on Friday, July 4.
