HALIFAX – A woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries Tuesday after being hit by a vehicle in Halifax.
Police say the 39-year-old woman was in a marked crosswalk on Main Avenue when she was struck.

Her injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Police say the vehicle was turning left onto Main Avenue when the accident occurred.
No charges have been laid at this time against the 50-year-old driver.
The investigation is ongoing.
