A church in New Westminster is taking a rather unusual step to stop the problem of people dumping household trash.
The St. Barnabas Anglican Church operates a thrift store in its basement, and although it receives many useful donations, the church has also been plagued with junk donations, broken items and garbage left outside for volunteers to clean up.
Now the church has put up a special sign to stop the illegal dumping — with a “message” from God.
The sign has only been up for a week, but so far, there’s been no junk dumped at the church.
