REGINA – In just over a week JazzFest Regina will kick off in the heart of downtown.
The sixth annual event highlights local musicians and performances but will also include Juno Award winner David Braid.
For the first time, the University of Regina has partnered with organizers to host the opening ceremonies at historic Drake Hall.
Executive producer of Regina JazzFest 2014, Peter Champagne, says this year’s festival has grown in size.
“We’ve added an extra day. We’ve doubled the number of pubs we’re in. We’ve added another probably third to the free stages, and without questions our numbers of headliners are much stronger than in the past,” he adds.
The festival kicks off Tuesday June 10th and will run until Sunday June 16th.
