An elderly woman has died three days after the vehicle she was riding in collided with a transit bus in downtown Vancouver.
Police say the collision happened at around 9 p.m. on Monday at the intersection of Pender and Hornby streets.
A 58-year-old woman was driving north on Hornby Street with an 82-year-old female passenger in the car when it hit the transit bus.
The passenger, from North Vancouver, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Police say she died Thursday night from pre-existing issues that were made worse from the crash.
The driver suffered minor injuries and was released from hospital.
According to police, witnesses indicated the car may have ran a red light.
