WATCH: Phil Collins performs ‘In the Air Tonight’ at son’s school

Phil Collins performed last week for the first time since his 2011 retirement — and it was at a school spring music concert.

The 63-year-old former Genesis musician sang “In the Air Tonight” and “Land of Confusion” at the Miami Country Day School in Florida.

“I was nervous … but these kids came up to me yesterday and were very pleasant, very nice and very polite and they all made me feel like part of the band,” Collins said before his performance.

“They’re a bunch of great kids and they’re sounding really good tonight.”

None of the musicians in the school band were alive in 1981, when “In The Air Tonight” was released.

Collins shared the stage with the students at the request of his son — with ex-wife Orianne Collins Mejjati — who attends the school.

It was the first time Collins has performed in public since announcing in March 2011 that he was retiring.

Last November, though, Collins told reporters he was considering a Genesis reunion tour.
