WATCH: Seaspan shipbuilding contract being challenged by Quebec company

A cross-Canada dispute has erupted over a very lucrative shipbuilding contract.

Vancouver-based Seaspan was awarded the contract by the federal government three years ago.

But it needs some serious upgrades to handle the job.

That means long delays and a budget now double the company’s bid.

Now a rival company in Quebec is offering to take over the entire project and do it for the original amount of money.
