REGINA – Some cattle were killed and others got loose when a semi they were being carried in rolled on a Saskatchewan highway.

The accident happened late last night on Highway 2, about five kilometres south of the Highway 11 junction near Chamberlain.

R-C-M-P say there was a thunderstorm in the area at the time, but it’s not known if that contributed to the rollover or if the truck driver was injured.

Police and emergency crews worked overnight to clear the scene.
