FREDERICTON – The Fredericton Police Force is investigating after discovering a number of horses running loose around the Fredericton Raceway track early Sunday morning.
Just before 4 am, police were doing a routine patrol of the Fredericton Exhibition grounds when they discovered the horses. Upon further investigation, they found the barns had been broken into and the horses had been let out of their stalls.
All of the horses were eventually located and are back in their stalls.
Fredericton police say they did locate and speak to a group of adult males shortly after, who are subjects of interest. They say they’re determining the extend of the incident and if charges are substantiated for break and enter and mischief.
