LA LOCHE, Sask. – Mounties are currently gathering evidence on a reserve after a firearm incident Saturday morning near La Loche, Saskatchewan.
At around 3:30 a.m., an armed man was threatening to kill people inside his home on the Clearwater River Dene First Nation.
RCMP say the suspect discharged a gun both inside and outside the residence.
He also threatened to shoot anyone who approached the house.
The RCMP ‘F’ Division containment team and emergency response team were at the scene when the suspect exited the house.
The 25-year-old suspect was taken into custody before noon without incident.
Charges are pending against the suspect.
RCMP believe there was only one woman inside the home.
No injuries were reported.
