A treasured camera has been returned to its owner two years after it disappeared in a shipwreck in the Pacific ocean.
The camera was found earlier this month by a pair of university students who were on a research dive off the west coast of Vancouver Island.

A water taxi operator recognized the owner from a photo pulled from the intact SD card.
Two years ago, the owner had tried to make the trip from Vancouver to Tassis, but during the voyage he hit rough weather and his boat capsized.
