REGINA – Another person has been arrested after former Saskatchewan Roughriders GM Al Ford was assaulted outside of a liquor store on south Albert in early May.
22-year-old Jarrel Ashton Desjarlais of Regina is now facing assault and robbery charges.
Police were called to the South Albert liquor store on May 12 when it was reported that 70-year-old Ford was punched in the face after he refused to give up his purchase.
Police originally arrested 29-year-old Tyler Leon Joe Alexson for the crime but his charges were stayed in a Regina provincial court.
Desjarlais is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Thursday afternoon.
