TORONTO — Rapper Drake and pop-rock group Hedley lead the way in nominations at this year’s Muchmusic Video Awards with six each.
Both are up for Video of the Year, Director of the Year, Fave Artist/Group and Fave Video.
Drake also has nods for International Video of the Year by a Canadian and Hip-Hop Video of the Year, while Hedley is nominated for Pop Video of the Year and Post-Production of the Year.
SonReal follows with four MMVAs nominations and Arcade Fire and The Weeknd have four each. All are up for Video of the Year.
International nominees with two nominations each are Imagine Dragons and Lorde — who are scheduled to perform at the MMVAs — as well as Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez.
The MMVAs, hosted by Kendall and Kylie Jenner, will be broadcast June 15 from Toronto.
