CALGARY – A four-year-old girl was killed in a rollover north of Lethbridge on Monday.
EMS rushed to the scene of the crash around 9 p.m.
Officials say a mother was driving her four children in a GMC Yukon when she lost control on a gravel road near Keho Lake, entering a ditch and rolling.
The four-year-old was transported to Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge after being ejected from the Yukon, but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The mother and her other children, ages 2, 3 and 8, suffered minor injuries.
Officials say the family is from the southern Alberta village of Barons.
Alcohol is not considered a factor in the collision, although it’s unknown if speed may be.
