Two men found with head wounds in Saskatoon park

SASKATOON – Two men appear to have been aimlessly attacked with a sharp object while walking through a Saskatoon park early Saturday morning.

At 2:40 a.m., police were called to a report of someone being hit with a hatchet in the 300-block of Avenue P South.

A 31-year-old Duck Lake man and a 60-year-old man from Mistewasis First Nation were found bleeding from head wounds.

They were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say their injuries were obviously the result of being struck with some sort of edged weapon.

A 24-year-old Saskatoon man is in custody, but no weapon has been recovered.

No charges have been laid at this time.
