Richmond RCMP say they have arrested two men in a crackdown on auto theft at a local Sikh cultural centre.
RCMP say vehicles were being broken into repeatedly while parked at the centre on No. 5 Road during celebratory events.
The two men who were arrested were released on a promise to appear. They will appear in Richmond court on June 10.
“The India Cultural Center of Canada’s Gurdwara Nanak Niwas is very thankful to the Richmond RCMP for its on-going support and assistance and would like to commend the RCMP officers for apprehending these individuals,” says President Chain Batth of the India Cultural Centre.
The identities of the two men were not released.
